WEEK TWELVE

GDE740 Outcome and Ambition.

The development of UCAN. has been a fascinating journey in terms of documenting my own creative process and line of thought.

It has also proved yet again that an idea is only as good as your ability to communicate it.

Having looked at the roots of UCAN. and spending so much time analysing and documenting the possibilities of this idea, I remain utterly convinced that it is a deliverable, workable, useful initiative.

The great thing about it is that all the research is in place and available to make it work. All it needs is an established 'player' to take it on to secure the sponsorship and finance from the agreed food retailers. This could be charities like The Trussell Trust or initiatives like Creative Conscience.

UCAN. then needs the appropriate Creative Director, Business Director and an Operations Director to draw all the ingredients together for a pilot scheme. This will then be evaluated in order for a national launch.

When I first started to develop this idea the statement which acted as a reference point for every tangent of UCAN. proved its value and that it worked -

'a ground level initiative to enable all to contribute'

We have a shameful record of food poverty in the UK. My home. We also have everything needed for there not to be. I have a creative mind so this is my contribution. The dream would be for it to happen.
